Bear Creek Trail Widening
South Suburban, the City of Sheridan, and Arapahoe County Open Spaces partnered to study the Bear Creek Regional Trail corridor, from Lowell Boulevard to the South Platte River/Mary Carter Greenway intersection, to identify potential future improvements to enhance trail users' experience. Phase I of the Bear Creek Trail Study identified upgrading the trail from asphalt to concrete and widening it from Irving St. to Federal Blvd. as a high priority project. Follow the updates below as planning and design for the proposed trail widening and upgrade to concrete progresses through additional data collection to final construction drawings and construction.

Irving St. and Federal Blvd. and answered questions regarding proposed easement requests. Several residents attended the event and generally supported the project. Staff and Sheridan will continue reaching out to property owners through October.
