Cornerstone Park Inclusive Playground Project Update

The project team is continuing to advance design development for the Cornerstone Park Inclusive Playground, with a strong focus on creating a welcoming, accessible, and engaging space for all abilities.

In recent months, South Suburban Planning team has been actively pursuing funding opportunities to support this important project. We are excited to share that we have successfully submitted a GOCO Community Impact Grant application, with funding decisions anticipated in mid‑June. Fingers crossed! In addition, we are grateful to announce that the project has been awarded a private donor grant, providing meaningful support to move this work forward.

We are deeply thankful for the generosity and commitment shown toward this amazing project.

Design development has also progressed through collaborative feedback sessions with our project focus group. At this stage, we are intentionally engaging experts in inclusive and accessible design to ensure these principles are thoughtfully and thoroughly integrated into the playground’s final design.
