The design development drawings are complete for Jackass Hill Park. The basis of design is the Jackass Hill Park Final Site Plan approved by the Board of Directors on June 28, 2023, and Littleton City Council on March 21, 2023. The project was further developed to understand site opportunities and constraints. The internal trail network is simplified, the playground is relocated further from Prince Street, and the north shade pavilion is realigned.

The project is planned to be constructed in two phases, with construction starting as early as mid-July 2025. Development of construction drawings are underway and will include more detailed information such as access control, planting plans, irrigation design, and interpretive signage. The majority of Phase 1 construction is planned for the south parcel with a trail connection to S Ridge View Dr. on the north parcel. Construction of future phases are dependent on availability of funding. The design development plan and renderings are provided for review and comment.

It has come to our attention that sediment is washing out from the park onto Sunset Dr from a park segment located between S Curtice Ct and Highland Ct.

To mitigate this issue, the Parks Department will begin a revegetation initiative in this area that will include: reseeding of the area, installation of an erosion control blanket, and the installation of a split rail fence paralleling Sunset Dr. This work is anticipated to begin within the next few weeks.
