The City of Englewood is scheduled to resume construction this fall on Reach 2 of the City Ditch Piping Project. The project will replace portions of the open City Ditch with buried pipe to improve the reliability and efficiency of Englewood’s water supply. Reach 2A is scheduled to begin in fall 2026 and will extend north from a manhole on the St. Mary’s Catholic Church property to Ridge Road. Much of the new pipe will be constructed within the existing City Ditch. Construction will require a temporary closure of the Littleton Community Trail between Ridge Road and Lower Ridgewood Park. Trail users can utilize the detour along West Euclid Ave, South Prince St, and West Ridge Road for the duration of construction. The Lee Gulch Trail in Lower Ridgewood Park will be partially closed during construction as equipment and materials are carried across the park. Please adhere to all signage, fencing, and/or flaggers in the area. The trail closures and detours are expected to begin in October 2026 and reopen in Spring 2027.
