Conceptual Design Options

The following goals reflect the key themes we’ve heard from the community so far. Each concept is built around these Guiding Principles:

1. Improve Access & Connectivity – Create a welcoming trailhead and realign the trail and bridge to enhance safety, accessibility, and neighborhood connections to the Bear Creek Trail network.
2. Transform the Site into Open Space – Convert the property into a vibrant community space with amenities that support recreation, gathering, and connections to nature.
3. Reflect Community Values – Develop a design shaped by public input to ensure the trailhead reflects the character, needs, and priorities of Sheridan and surrounding communities.
4. Foster Inclusive Engagement – Involve community members and stakeholders throughout the process to create a project that is transparent, collaborative, and inclusive.

Three very different concepts have been developed to gather feedback on what you like most. This survey asks questions about each concept. The ideas that people love the most from all three concepts will be combined to arrive at one preferred plan.

All concepts include the following:

• Separate dedicated paths for bike commuters and open space visitors
• New realigned pedestrian and bike bridge
• Small parking lot
