South Suburban is making improvements to the Little Dry Creek Park playground area! The area was last improved in 2002. Improvements will include new modern-themed playground equipment, rubberized safety surfacing within the playground footprint, a new post-tension basketball court, a larger shade pavilion that incorporates more seating, and the addition of a san-o-let and san-o-let enclosure. Concrete walkways and playground surfacing will be upgraded to provide better accessibility within the core of the park.

    Sod installation at Little Dry Creek Park has been completed. While the sods roots are becoming established, we kindly ask you to please keep off the sod. The sod establishment period lasts around typically lasts two weeks, where it will be watered extensively. After the establishment period is over, the sod will return to a normal watering program.

    We are excited to announce that the park is now open! Due to the time of year the project was completed, sod will be installed in the spring of 2024. Once the sod has been installed a Park Dedication will take place.

    The basketball goal post have been in set in concrete. The backboard and hoop will be installed once the concrete has had time to cure. The striping of the basketball court will most likely take place in spring of 2024 due to cold temperatures.
