Why did South Suburban already install a small section of concrete in this area?

Approximately 150 linear feet of the proposed 2,300 linear feet trail resurfacing project was converted to concrete in October 2024 in response to on-going maintenance need. However, we did not request public input or adequately inform the community of this change. The information received from the current public outreach will determine if additional concrete is installed.

Why can't snow be removed from the existing granite fines surface?

Plowing snow on soft surface trails results in ruts and other damage created by trucks and other equipment. As ice builds up over the winter the trail becomes more difficult to use.

Where can I find more information about Prince St. being bike route/facility?

Please see the City of Littleton's Transportation Master Plan :Transportation Master Plan - Littleton CO

When will a decision be made? If approved, when will work begin?

In early 2025, after reviewing public input, South Suburban staff form a recommendation. If resurfacing is recommended, work between Prince St. and Santa Fe Dr. will occur in Spring/Summer 2025. Work from Santa Fe Dr. to the Mary Carter Greenway will depend on availability of current funds or approval of funding in future budget years.
