Heritage Village Park Improvement Project

Designs for a new playground at Heritage Village Park are underway! Planned improvements include upgraded playground equipment and rubberized safety surfacing to enhance accessibility. A new shade pavilion will replace the existing structure, which has reached the end of its useful life. Additionally, new park benches and both standard and ADA-accessible picnic tables will provide comfortable seating for visitors. This project is funded through South Suburban and the City of Centennial.

Heritage Village Park - Playground Equipment Selection

South Suburban is planning updates for Heritage Village Park.
Based on community feedback from the online public input survey (August 20–September 5, 2025) and the in-person public meeting held at the park shelter on September 3, 2025, the community expressed a clear preference for a modern playground theme.
Before reviewing Playground Options 1 and 2, please take a moment to look over the Playground and Shelter Site Plan, as well as the conceptual rendering of the proposed shelter.

Heritage Village Park Improvement Project - Public Input Survey
South Suburban is planning updates for Heritage Village Park. The proposed improvements include:
- Revising the trail connection at S Eudora Way and E Maple Dr
- Converting the existing asphalt trail to concrete and relocating it approximately 10 feet north of the top of bank to reduce erosion and protect tree root zones
- Addressing accessibility issues in the parking lot
- Reconfiguring the shelter and playground layout to accommodate more shade and seating
