Hudson Gardens Vision Plan
Hudson Gardens Vision Plan: Cultivate the Future
South Suburban is inviting the community to "cultivate the future" of The Hudson Gardens & Event Center through a public engagement campaign. Community members are encouraged to share their ideas and help shape the future of this beloved scenic space.
Hudson Gardens is committed to serving as a recreational, educational, and cultural hub for the community. The Hudson Gardens Vision Plan will enhance the gardens as a destination for celebrations and events, expand offerings, and ensure long-term sustainability.
Since assuming operations of Hudson Gardens, South Suburban has allocated more than $5.4 million for Capital Improvement Projects through 2025. The largest project to date is the $2.6 million Pond and Stream Improvement Project. The Hudson Gardens Vision Plan will build on these investments and guide future improvements and programming over the next decade.
The public will have multiple opportunities to provide input this fall, including events at Hudson Gardens, pop-up events in the area, stakeholder and focus group discussions, and online surveys.
Together, we can cultivate a vibrant future for Hudson Gardens for years to come.

please bring back the summer concert series!
We miss the concerts so much! Please consider bringing them back!
I like the sculptures—especially the blue one—the rock tunnel, the frog pond, the fountains, the koi fish, walking the grounds, and the mini train.
I would like to see interior bike parking off platte trail. I would like more "hiking" style trails.
I love the walk up coffee shop open during the summer and being able to walk throughout the gardens-especially love the music!
I would love to see programs for children to learn how to garden or tend to bees. I would like to see food trucks with the coffee.
I like how festive the events are and they are very family friendly.
I would like for parking for events to be a little clearer. More food/drink options.
It was gorgeous! I liked that you could follow the trail to the brewery! I like the coffee shop!
Bring back the concerts!!
I love the wildlife and the walking trails. Love the pollinator plants and the coffee shop Nixons. I would like to see natural water in the rose garden not the blue water. Bring back the concerts.

I would like more local artist work being displayed throughout.
I appreciate all of the various seasonal opportunities that are offered throughout the year.
I would like to see the Gardens marketed to people in Northern and Southern Colorado.
The staff is great, and I love live music. Hudson Gardens is a gem but very few people know about it. More marketing.
I enjoy the open spaces and restful atmosphere. It would be great to have more community events. I would also like there to be ways to share about these events.
I like the Christmas lights and coffee house. I'd like to see a butterfly area.
I like that it is conveniently located. I'd like to see a strawberry tree.
I like the access from the bike paths, the options/events that are throughout the year are great.
I'd like to see more advertising/possibility of more photography-based events.
I like live music.
I like wildlife, nixons coffee, water features, pollinator plants, concerts and events.
I'd like to see less turf grass, more native plants, natural water features in the rose garden, bring back the concerts.
I like the location and trails. We hadn't heard of the gardens before—better advertising. Bring back the concerts.
I like the kid zone and free resource. I'd like to see it kids focused.
Very nice paths to walk and very well maintained.
I would like to see a way to manage water use and recycle water.
The Hudson garden has an amazing pumpkin magic of the jack-o-lantern exhibit. I love the openness of the space with everything.
Although everything was stunning, I would love to see a bigger variety or water exhibit in the area.
Thank you for your contribution!
