Final playground equipment options for Kline Homestead Park are in! The design consultant is updating 60% construction drawings based on feedback from staff. Staff provided comments for the playground equipment vendor to update designs and proposals. An online survey is planned for the end of November through early December to gather public input on preferred playground equipment.

The design consultant completed 60% construction drawings and will submit plans to Douglas County upon completion of necessary revisions based on staff feedback. Douglas County's review will ensure all appropriate documents are prepared prior to construction and streamline the application process when the contractor applies for required permits. Public input on preferred playground equipment is postponed until the playground vendor updates equipment options based on staff feedback from the most recent plans. Staff will issue an online survey for preferred playground equipment in November.

The Board of Directors approved the Final Site Plan at the Sept. 10 meeting. The design consultant is continuing design development and coordinating with the Civil Engineer for the initial phase of construction drawings. Staff are reviewing proposals from playground vendors, and an online survey will be available in late October for residents to select their preferred playground equipment.

After incorporating feedback from the community, the design consultant has begun developing 30% construction drawings and a Proposed Final Site Plan for Board of Directors consideration in September.

The pre-submittal meeting with Douglas County was postponed to June 5. A public outreach event will take place at the shade structure in the park on June 24 from 4-6 pm. Keep a lookout for notifications about an online survey regarding future park improvements later this month..

The design consultant developed conceptual plans for the playground renovation at Kline Homestead Park. A pre-submittal meeting with Douglas County is scheduled for May 29. Staff are preparing presentation boards for a public outreach event in the park at the end of June.
