South Suburban and Highlands Ranch Metro District partnered to plan and design a Pickleball Complex on the corner of Broadway and County Line.     Construction fencing along the site perimeter was installed the week of October 7. Access to Private Drive will close beginning October 21 in preparation for a ground breaking ceremony that will take place Wednesday, October 23 from 2-3pm.

    On September 25, the South Suburban Board of Directors approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price with JHL Constructors and the Intergovernmental Agreement with Highlands Ranch Metro District (HRMD). The HRMD Board also approved the joint project during their meeting on September 24, 2024.

    On August 14, SSPRD Board of Directors approved the final site plan and name for the proposed pickleball complex. The project name is now Southpark Pickleball Complex.

    The decision to use a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) under an Integrated Project Delivery was approved by the South Suburban Board of Directors as well as the Highlands Ranch Metro District Board. After issuing a Request for Qualifications/Proposals and interviewing the 3 most qualified candidates, JHL Constructors Inc (JHL) emerged as the most qualified CM/GC demonstrating the best value for delivering the project. SSPRD and Highlands Ranch Metro District staff jointly recommended and both Boards approved a contract with JHL.
